Barley Studio adheres to the guidelines for the conservation and restoration of stained glass set out by the Council for the Care of Churches and the international Corpus Vitrearum Medii Aevi. These guidelines follow best practice relating to the care, reversible treatment, documenting and preservation all periods of historic glazing.
Keith Barley pioneered the system of Isothermal Glazing which preserves stained glass in as near museum conditions as can be achieved within the architectural setting. This system has been acknowledged as environmentally sound and has been adopted by the majority of stained glass conservators in Great Britain.
