I have been attending life drawing classes throughout my career and find the discipline of drawing and painting from life invaluable when creating new commissions in stained glass.

In my figurative work, the ability to capture the real, three dimensional form brings life and spontaneity to my stained glass and sculpture.

The sense of human proportion and scale, and the appreciation of tonal quality through light and shade, gained through life drawing also inform my geometric and abstract work. The opportunity to experiment with different media and markmaking has also helped to develop my glass painting, creating a free and confident style.
