'Overarching' – South Door Panels (0.9m x 0.9m) 2022

I was approached by Philip Wright, architect, to create new stained glass panels for the south door of a Grade II listed 1890s ‘Lodge House’. The original spun bullion glazing needed to be replaced as it was creating a fire hazard in direct sunshine.

My design was inspired through discussion with the client, and takes the form of existing arched windows in the West wing of the house. The same interlocking geometry fits perfectly within the layout of the four openings of the door, complementing the surrounding architecture and framing the view of the garden.

Vibrant pink and yellow overlap to create bright accents of orange, bringing the arched forms to life in contemporary colours.
